Evangelist Brenda Nixon is the third child of Mrs. Maurice Kelly Norris and the late Bobby Norris. Being a native of Norfolk, Virginia, she was educated in the public school system and graduated from Maury High School. She received an Associate in Science Degree in Education from Tidewater Community College, Chesapeake, Virginia, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Norfolk State University, and a Master of Art Degree in Education from the College of Saint Catherine’s in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She is certified by the American Montessori Society to teach Montessori Education. She also received her Reading Specialist Endorsement. She is currently employed with Portsmouth Public Schools as a Reading Specialist. Although Evangelist Nixon has been blessed in the field of Education, she gives honor and glory to God for the all of the things He has done in her life both naturally and spiritually.

Evangelist Nixon began her relationship with the Lord early in life. She was the first member in her family to accept salvation. She ishappily married to Dr. Dwight Nixon. She is the mother of two sons Owen and Quincy Nixon. She works closely with her husband in the ministry and realizes the awesome task of being called to his side for the past 28 years. She is a licensed missionary, Director of the Women’s Department, and a choir member. She is a former Administrator for the Power of Twelve, Circle of Life Bible Study and Director of Kiddie Kingdom Child Care Center.

The greatest joy in her life is to worship the true and living God. To God be the glory for the things He has done!
