Evangelist Brenda Nixon is the third child of the late Bobby and Maurice Kelly Norris. Being a native of Norfolk, Virginia, she was educated in the public school system and graduated from Maury High School. She received an Associate in Science Degree in Education from Tidewater Community College, Chesapeake, Virginia, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Norfolk State University, and a Master of Art Degree in Education from the College of Saint Catherine’s in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She received her certification to teach Montessori Education by the American Montessori Society. She also received her Reading Specialist Endorsement from Old Dominion University. She is currently a retired Reading Specialist from Portsmouth Public Schools. Although Evangelist Nixon has been blessed in the field of Education, she gives honor and glory to God for the all of the things He has done in her life both naturally and spiritually.

Evangelist Nixon began her relationship with the Lord early in life. She was the first member in her family to accept salvation. She is happily married to Dr. Dwight Nixon. She is the proud mother of two sons and a daughter in law, Quincy, Owen and Eurnicka Nixon. She is also proud to be a grandmother to Sharanda, Sharonda, and Shalise.  She works closely with her husband in the ministry and realizes the awesome task of being called to his side for the past 34 years. She is a licensed missionary, Director of the Women’s Department, and a choir member.

The greatest joy in her life is to worship the true and living God. To God be the glory for the things He has done!
