ABOUT OUR CHURCH

Saint Mary Church of God in Christ has served the community for the past 49 years. The leadership and membership of Saint Mary’s Church Family believe we are called to carry out:

• The Great Commandments. That is loving God. (Matt. 22:37-40 – Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.)
• The Great Commission. That is loving others. (Matt. 28:19-20 – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.)
• The Great Compassion. That is serving others. (Matt. 25:35-36 – For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: (36) Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
• A Great Commitment to the Great Commandments and the Great Commission done with Great Compassion will grow a GreatChurch. (Matt. 16:18 – And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.)
